Cienfuegos, You Stole My Heart

I didn’t expect Cienfuegos to steal my heart — but it did.
Maybe it was the colonial beauty, the quiet streets, or the feeling of stepping back in time.
We only had two hours of electricity during my stay, but the city didn’t miss a beat.
Artists painted by flashlight. Families walked the streets in total darkness, still laughing, still living.
Cienfuegos holds the charm of its glory days — grand architecture, beautiful beaches, old country clubs now frozen in time.
It’s a shame what’s been lost… but I’m also so grateful to have found this untouched place.
Tourism hasn’t overrun it yet. For the time I was there, it felt like the city was just mine.
Cienfuegos, you’ll always be one of my favorite stops in Cuba.
