Why you need to visit every country in the world.. or do you?

When I started this digital nomad life, the mission was clear: visit every country in the world šŸŒ.

While that goal still remains, I realized that somehow I kept returning to the same countries. Sometimes even the same cities! For a while, I had FOMO . Was I falling behind? Missing out on somewhere more exciting? šŸ¤”

But here’s what I’ve realized: racing through every destination means you miss the best parts.

The hidden spots. The routines that make you feel at home. The local stories you only hear after the second or third visit. The joy of becoming familiar with a place—actually understanding the culture, knowing which cafĆ© makes your coffee just right ā˜•ļø, which beaches are empty at sunset šŸŒ…, and which street has the best late-night snacks.

I remember taking this photo in Koh Phangan—one of my favorite places on the planet. I was enraptured. The beauty, the stillness, the calm energy of the island. 12 hours ahead of most people I knew, I was feeling a bit sad that I had no one to share that moment with. So I took a photo, and shared it with myself. šŸ¤—

That’s the beauty of slow travel ✨. When you move slowly, you get to be present in the moment. To savor it all, bit by bit. You trade quantity for depth—and in doing so, you walk away with so much more.

What’s one place you didn’t expect to love, but ended up staying longer than you planned?
